Preview ONK MX in Emmen
After a year of absence, the KNMV ONK motocross will return to Drenthe this weekend. On Sunday, April 15, the fifth ONK race will be held at 'De Pottendijk' in Emmen.
The MSV Motodrome is preparing to welcome Dutch GP winner Jeffrey Herlings (MX2), Joël Roelants (winner in Emmen in 2009 and 2010), Glenn Coldenhoff, Jake Nicholls, Petar Petrov, Mike Kras and the indefatigable Erik Eggens.
Herlings starts as ONK leader, but has never won in Emmen! Joel Roelants won the competition in Drenthe in both 2009 and 2010. Roelants is currently second in the standings at 23 points behind 'the Bullit'.
No Bobby, no Keeno
In the MX1 the state of affairs will certainly be shaken up. Evgeny Bobryshev had to withdraw from Emmen due to injury, Ken De Dycker will also not be there as he will be testing with the KTM in Italy. This means that the battle in MX1 is once again open to men like Herjan Brakke, Yentel Martens, Bas Verhoeven, Manuel Priem, Marvin Van Daele, Stuwey Reynders and Kristof Salaets!
The training sessions in Emmen start at 9.00:12.15 am and the starting gate of the KNMV ONK falls for the first time around 85:125 pm for the 2cc class. This will be followed by the 1cc, MX1 and, as the final, the MX30 toppers with various big names from the World Championship. The MX125 boys ride two heats over 25 minutes plus two laps! The new 85cc class runs for 20 minutes and two laps while the 20,00cc riders compete for XNUMX minutes and two laps. The entrance is €XNUMX!
