Cairoli on pole in Sevlievo
After his double victory in Valkenswaard, Cairoli was also the best in the qualifying round today in Sevlievo. A heavy shower before the qualifying heats made for a treacherous course, but that did not bother Cairoli. He led from start to finish and won the race ahead of Paulin and Christophe Pourcel. This trio had already started flying when Clement Desalle ended up in fourth place after a mediocre start. Ken de Dycker finished fifth and Kevin Strijbos finished seventeenth.
Steven Frossard left the race after a few laps and will be 31st at the starting gate tomorrow.
