Preview: Elect-râ BK Enduro Warnant
The Belgian enduro riders were not given long respite after their opening race in Bilstain. With the race in Warnant they will be presented with a classic in the Elect-râ BK Enduro on Sunday. The starting place in Warnant is the 'Domaine des Aujes', known in trial circles.
The organizing club MC Molignard has mapped out a 40 km route in and around. That route has two specials.
The Inters ride four laps. The Juniors, Nationals, Juniors and Gentlemen must complete three rounds. The other classes ride two laps.
In Bilstain there was no limit for Jean-François Goblet. But it is certain that the level is much higher than in previous years. This of course has everything to do with the arrival of two old acquaintances who defend the Gas Gas colors. Both Cédric Melotte and Patrick Caps (intro photo) were already in the front ranks last weekend. There is no doubt that both Melotte and Caps can lay claim to the title in their own class, the Inters E3. Whether they can also target 'Jeff' Goblet remains to be seen.
Wim Vanderheyden was the only Dutch speaker in Bilstain who managed to stay in the top 10. Let's wait and see whether Bob Van Looveren and Roel Verpoorten can compete at the front in Warnant. Vanderheyden will have to compete in his class against the two former MX GP winners.
