Herlings and Bobryshev win in Oss
Evgeny Bobryshev (MX1) and Jeffrey Herlings (MX2) became the triumphants today during the first race of the ONK MX1. Herlings crushed the competition, Bobryshev did it with a first and second place. A motivated Kevin Strijbos (3-1) came second and especially gained confidence with a win in the second round. Fellow countryman Ken de Dycker had a solid day despite a bad knee (2-3) and was able to join the MX1 final podium. The best Dutchman was Herjan Brakke, with a 7th place after notorious sand riders Simpson, Gonçalves and Van Daele.

Strong Bobryshev!
Just as Herlings dominated in the qualifiers, Bobryshev did the same in the MX1. The Russian clocked 2,3 seconds faster than Kevin Strijbos. Bobryshev took the holeshot and was in the lead from start to finish! Kevin Strijbos also had a strong start and was second for a long time. After a bad start, Ken De Dycker pulled off a great catch-up race. From 15th place he managed to come back to second place. Somewhat surprising since Strijbos managed to keep reasonable contact with Bobby and had a big lead over the rest of the field. De Dycker finished 20 seconds behind Bobryshev, Strijbos was seconds further. Marc De Reuver came 4th, Goncalves 5th.

Revenge for Strijbos!
If Bobryshev takes the lead from Strijbos early, it seems like a run of the mill. Especially because the gap with the pursuers Simpson, Goncalves, De Reuver, Dutch champion Brakke and De Dycker is too big. After a few laps, De Reuver has to pull over with a sullen engine. While De Dycker comes on in the second half of the race and moves up to second place, Kevin Strijbos in particular steals the show. Five minutes from the end, 'The Kid' passes Bobryshev and gives KTM UK its first victory! De Dycker is third, well behind Strijbos and Bobby, ahead of Simpson and Goncalves. Ceriel Klein Kromhof, doing well in race 1, has to retire. Manuel Priem is right on target with a solid 8th place.

Herlings above if and everyone!
The difference between Jeffrey Herlings and Jeremy Van Horebeek in the qualifications was more than 2 seconds. No Tommy Searle at the Witte Ruijsheuvel today because he had called out sick. During the race that difference would increase to 51,3 seconds (!) at the finish. After his holeshot, The Bullet drove away with ease. Good old Erik Eggens, who started second, also drove a neat race. The multiple Dutch champion held on for a long time in third position, but had to bow his head to Jake Nicholls and Joel Roelants in the second half of the match. Roelants seemed to be on his way to a strong start, but a fall in the first corner forced the Pro Circuit-Kawasaki rider to give chase. From almost last place, Roelants still managed to finish 4th ahead of Eggens, Kras and Coldenhofff.

2 out of 2 for Herlings, of course!
Almost a copy of the first round became the second MX2 round. Jeffrey Herlings again won by force majeure ahead of Jeremy Van Horebeek. Joel Roelants now finished third. The positions are soon fixed, except for a duel between Roelants and Kras for third place. Kras' fourth place was eventually taken by Glen Coldenhoff.
