KTM riders favorite for Enduro world titles
KTM starts the World Enduro Championship in Chile this weekend with the strongest enduro team in years. In the mid-season, KTM managed to bring in two French top riders with Antoine Meo and Christophe Nambotin. The Frenchmen will find their compatriot Johnny Aubert in the KTM factory team.
Former E1 world champion Antoine Meo returns to the lightest class in 2012. Meo will compete in the E1 World Championship on a KTM EXC-F 250. His teammate, and competitor for the world title, the Finn Eero Remes is also on a KTM EXC-F 250.
Johnny Aubert remains where he was this year, namely in the E2 queen class. However, Aubert will now be riding an EXC-F 450. His teammate, the Spaniard Cristobal Guerrero, will compete with an EXC-F 350.
In the heaviest class, new recruit Christophe Nambotin will man the EXC 300 two-stroke bike. Nambotin gained a lot of experience with two-stroke engines during his time at Gas Gas and can easily be counted among the outsiders for the title. His teammate in E3 is Manxman David Knight. 'Knighter will be riding an EXC-F 500.
Finally, Taddy Blazusiak also has KTM factory rider status. But Blazusiak will mainly focus on the increasingly important Xtreme enduros.
