Villopoto dominates in Saint Louis!
Monster Energy Kawasaki's Ryan Villopoto made his mark again last night. With his 5th win of the season, he extends his lead to 13 points over Ryan Dungey. Dungey finished second in Saint Louis ahead of Justin Brayton. In the East Coast Lites final, Justin Barcia won ahead of Roczen, Wharton and Durham.
Millsaps got the holeshot ahead of Villopoto and Justin Brayton. James Stewart started very poorly and to make matters worse, crashed at the end of the opening lap. On the second lap Villopoto took the lead from Millsaps. Millsaps would lose even more spots, first to Brayton and then to Ryan Dungey. Dungey went looking for RV in the final phase but ran out of time. Stewart finished in 5th place after a nice catch-up race.
Barcia shot to the holeshot in the Lites race ahead of Ken Roczen and Justin Bogle. While leader Barcia walked away, Bogle made life difficult for Roczen. On the last lap Bogle seemed like he would finally strike, but he crashed himself and lost third place to Blake Wharton.
