Yentel Martens wins winter cross Groesbeek
No weather to chase a dog through, but the brave riders who came to Groesbeek for the Wintercross thought differently! At the Inters, Donny Bastemeijer won the first round, but new Betemo pilot Yentel Martens took the overall victory (2-1). Stuwey Reijnders was disqualified in the first heat after a mess with Martens. Stuwey did not start again in the second heat. In the initial phase, Petar Petrov had gone off hard, and on the concrete-hard surface he even moved a little further after his crash. The cheerful Bulgarian broke his handlebars and gave up. Petrov finished second in the second race. You can find all results here.
Bastemeijer was also in the lead in that second race, because the spokes of his wheel were broken and he was unable to repeat his victory in the first round. Martens won ahead of Petrov and Maarten Cremers. In the final standings, the regular Cremers came second ahead of Jimmy Kaal.
