Broken elbow and surgery for Dean Ferris
ICE1RACING driver, Dean Ferris, went under the knife today in Belgium to repair his broken elbow. The young Australian had crashed yesterday during the first rounds of the MX Elite Spanish Championship in Albaida.
At the time of the fall, Ferris was doing well. The ICE1Racing rider was driving towards leader Jose Antonio Butron when Dean hit a driver behind him and flew into a straw bale at high speed. “I should have seen it coming,” Ferris admitted. “I had just passed Barragan and was actually completely focused on Butron in front of me when suddenly that doubled rider appeared. Fortunately the fracture is not that serious, I should be back on the bike in 4 weeks. In terms of condition, things are good at the moment, and I want to keep it that way. Hopefully I will soon reach my level again to be there during the first GP in Valkenswaard.”
