Jelle Grade in 2012 at Racing Center KTM
Reigning IMBA MX1 champion Jelle Grade switches to a KTM from Racing Center Deurne for 2012. For the Flemish Brabander, this immediately means a new start after competing in the colors of BeTeMo for 4 seasons.
Grade is already motivated to start on the orange machine. Yet the IMBA champion did not experience an ideal mid-season. “I've been idle since the end of September,” says Grade. “The death of my father and an operation on my varicose veins meant that I could not drive this winter. I currently ride the SX-F 350 from Racing Center. Now we are going to fine-tune the bike for the new season. If it turns out that I weigh a little too much for the 350, I might switch to the SX-F 450.”
The switch to Racing Center KTM from Deurne means that the VLM topper BeTeMo said goodbye. Yet it was a farewell in friendship. “I certainly have to thank the people at BeTeMo for what they have achieved for me over all these years,” says Grade. “At the same time, I must also immediately thank my current team Racing Center KTM and my personal sponsors for the confidence they have in me. I hope that I can give them a title this year. Both the VLM Inters MX1 and the IMBA MX1 championships are on my wish list.”
