Julien Bill does not defend MX3 world title
Julien Bill will not defend his MX2012 world title in 3. The Swiss confirmed this in an interview with Speedweek magazine. In 2012, the French-speaking Swiss will mainly concentrate on the campaign in his own country, the Swiss MX Masters. Bill will nevertheless also appear in a few MX3 GPs, but according to him a total Mx3 World Championship was out of the question.
Bill also said that a switch to the MX1 World Championship was not realistic. Especially because he said he would have had to contribute a sum of between €1 and €60.000 to a decent MX100.000 team. According to Bill, only the riders from the top 5 of the MX1 World Championship still earn a decent living. He himself does not consider himself capable of securing a place in the top 5 of the MX1 World Championship. Bill suspects that he could maintain himself between 1th and 6th place in the MX10 World Championship, but he believes that is not good enough to make any money from it.
