Dennis Dierckx looks back and forward!
Dennis Dierckx looks back on the past season with mixed feelings. At the same time, the Honda rider already has plenty of plans for 2012.
Dierckx' return to the Radson MX2 Trophy It's already over after one season. “Maybe switching to the MX2 wasn't my best idea after all” Dierckx starts. “On the one hand I came across a number of fast and motivated young people, on the other hand I also lacked proper preparation for the MX2 bike. ” The sporting end result may be disappointing, but Dierckx is not entirely dissatisfied. “I've had quite a bit of fun in a number of BC matches, and that's mainly what I'm talking about Kester en Orp-le-Grand. The circuit in Tongeren was less to my liking. Unfortunately, things didn't go well for me again this time at the Keiheuvel. As a club pilot KMC Mol Every year I look forward to the Kempen high day, but every year something goes wrong. The last race of the BK MX2 in Mont Saint Guibert Unfortunately I had to let it go due to injuries. "
Also from the Inters MX1 championship at the VMCF Dierckx expected more. “I don't want to make excuses, but my preparation for the season was anything but as it should be. Because I followed in my father's footsteps as an organizer, I spent almost every weekend on the site in Grobbendonk last winter. And that did not benefit from proper physical preparation, not to mention a lack of motorcycle training.” Along with it BCD Team Dierckx signed for a successful first organization of a VMCF motocross in Grobbendonk. However, for the time being it remains the first edition.
"Henco, the owner of the site along the Industrieweg in Grobbendonk, has expansion plans” explains Dierckx. “This means that a large part of the site will disappear.” Yet we can expect to see organizations led by Dennis Dierckx in the future. “I am currently working on a plan to organize something unusual in Belgium. I can't say much about it yet, but perhaps the event could already take place at the end of 2012. For now, I'll take a closer look at everything."
Now that Dierckx has taken a break from being an organizer, he has plenty of time to properly prepare for the new season. And that will not be an unnecessary luxury because the BCD Team rider sets the bar high for himself.
"The good results of Marvin Van Daele en David Cools in the Lotto Trophy prove that you don't have to be an Elite driver to drive a good BC. That Lotto Trophy will be my main goal next year. But I must immediately add that I also want to work on the Inters MX1 championship at the VMCF. After missing out on that title for three seasons, we finally want to change that in 2012.. "
Dennis Dierckx will remain in 2012 LS Motors Honda fidelity. However, at the end of the season it was rumored that the Gaveren resident would switch to Kawasaki. “It's true that I tested the Kawasaki KX450F this fall. I had an offer in my pocket, but in the end it turned out not to be that interesting. So I just stay where I am. I have a good relationship with Steven (Lettani from LS Motors, ed.) who I have worked with for six years now and that is quite exceptional in motocross these days..."
