Official: Dean Ferris to Ice1 Kawasaki
As we previously announced, Dean Ferris (21) will compete for Kimi Räikkonen's Ice1Racing-Kawasaki team in the MX1 World Championship next season. Räikkonen is a former F1 world champion and now competes in the World Rally Championship.
This season the Ice1 team, managed by seven-time world enduro champion Kari Tiainen, made its debut in the World Cup. With Ferris, ICE1 has secured one of Australia's biggest prospects. Until the penultimate round, Dean led the Australian championship. He was subsequently sidelined due to a thumb injury. Dean Ferris: “I feel very much at home on the Kawasaki and it is nice that I can continue to work with Kawa in the GPs. In the meantime, I tested the ICE1Racing Kawasaki KX450F and I absolutely love it!”
