Gas Gas renews 2-stroke enduro range
In Catalonia they don't sit still. Gas Gas took a major overhaul of its two-stroke enduro line with a view to the 2012 model year. The EC 125 en EC 250 disappeared from the catalogue. The EC 250 en EC 300 are the only remaining two-strokes. But that does not mean that Gas Gas no longer invests in its two-stroke enduros. On the contrary.
The two-stroke ECs received a completely new perimeter frame for 2012, making the engines immediately look a lot more modern. The subframe is now made of plastic. The change in chassis came about due to instructions from Gas Gas factory drivers Ivan Cervantes en Christophe Nambotin. The higher center of gravity of the new ECs is also striking.
The tank capacity has been increased to 10,5 liters and the air filter is located in a handy slider. Furthermore, the enduros received new plastic, a new link system and different suspension settings. Only the clutch on the engine changed, which now has better lubrication.
Gas Gas also claims it has further improved workmanship and increased quality control. Furthermore, the equipment remained virtually unchanged. The front fork and shock absorber still come from Sachs, the brakes from Galfer and the exhaust silencer from FMF. Anyway, the 2012 Gas Gas two-stroke enduros look nice in our opinion.
