Jeff Goblet satisfied with Superbiker debut
Jeff Goblet, the No. 6 of the Enduro E2 World Championship made his Supermoto debut last weekend during the 25th FLIGHT Superbiker from Mettet. The D'Ieteren Sport Yamaharider had not been able to prepare for the Superbiker in advance. And so had to be on the circuit from Friday Yamaha YZ450F explore. Afterwards, Goblet nevertheless expressed satisfaction. “The Superbiker is a bit difficult for me because last week there was the final of the Enduro World Championship in Mende and there are still two races to be ridden in the Belgian Championship. With a view to renewing my Belgian title, I also had to be careful. I came here to participate in the high mass of motorsport, but also to represent my partners in a different way. As the weekend progressed I started to master the specific settings and riding style that Supermoto requires. Although I must admit that the bad weather conditions certainly gave me an advantage on the off-road sections. But nevertheless this was a super positive weekend. During the Starbiker final I came 11th. In the Superbiker itself I finished 23rd. I would like to be there again next year, but I want to prepare thoroughly.”
