Heavy crash for Stefan Everts
Stefan Everts suffered a serious crash yesterday afternoon at the Hélécine circuit while testing for KTM. The ten-time world champion crashed into two slower riders who had collided, and then Everts was hit in turn. He was left with a concussion, a sore neck and a broken wrist. “Stefan remembers little of what happened,” Pit Beirer, KTM’s global off-road manager, told MXM this morning. “Last night he was immediately operated on by doctor Gyselinck. The operation was very urgent, especially because a bone was pressing on a nerve in his hand. Now we just have to wait and see how the recovery should proceed.”
Mxmag wishes Stefan a speedy recovery.
