Preview EWC Andorra: Two titles for Husqvarna?
After a break of almost two months, the Enduro riders will make the final sprint this weekend EWC 2011 in. For the first time, the global enduro circus descends upon us Andorra. A mini state in the Pyrenees between France en Spain. The mountain state may not immediately be associated with motorsports. But the link between Andorra and motorsport is certainly there. Due to the favorable tax climate, not only riders like... Cyril Despres, Shane byrne of Chris Vermeulen down, but there are also some large motorcycle discount stores. It was earlier World Supermoto Championship also a guest in Andorra.
This could be Husqvarna's weekend. The off-road brand from Varese can win two world titles in one fell swoop this weekend.
There must be a lot going wrong in E2 Antoine Meo to hold on to his first world title in the queen class. The southern Frenchman leads the World Cup standings with a lead of 49 points Cristobal Guerrero. The Spanish KTM rider is without a doubt the revelation of the season in this class and could have been a lot further if he had not dropped out on the second day of the opening race in Catalonia.
Also Juha Salminen can become world champion this weekend. The Finn now has a 46 point lead over his compatriot Eero Remes. But given the form the latter showed during the IS THE in Kotka-Hämina the party could be postponed. If Salminen does manage to win the title this weekend, it will be his 13th world title.
In the E3 class, the battle is far from over, although it has been there Mika Ahola once again the best cards in hand. With a 24 point lead, the HM Hondarider has a comfortable buffer Christophe Nambotin.
