Strijbos satisfied after GP of the Czech Republic
Kevin Strijbos performed his role as substitute excellently during the Czech GP Steve Ramon in the Rockstar Energy Suzuki-team. After a number of difficult GPs in July, Strijbos rode around in Loket feeling reborn. That led to a 6th and 8th place in the heats.
Afterwards, Strijbos was satisfied with the result, although he did make a critical comment here and there: “I feel pretty good after this result. In the first heat I crashed into Tanel (Leok) immediately after falling from the gate. Still, my start was certainly not bad. Afterwards I went well, but there was a gap between me and the group in front of me. I could close that. I tried not to take too many risks but afterwards I still felt tired. At the beginning of the second heat I didn't really ride very well. Everyone got past Boog, but I had some problems with it. As a result, I missed the connection with the others. But all in all this weekend was OK. This was my first race with the team and now we get some more time to train with the bike and test a few little things.”
