LS Honda Racing about Loket
Ends for the second consecutive weekend LS Honda Racing Shaun Simpson in the top 10 of an MX1 GP. With a 10” and an 11th place in the heats, Simpson finished on equal points with Jonathan Barragan.
Afterwards the Scot appeared to be moderately positive: “It's been a tough weekend and I didn't really find my way on the track. I was just a little too slow yesterday. The first heat wasn't that bad actually and I was happy with tenth place. But I was clearly struggling with rear grip. That's why I used a different tire for the second moto. In the second race my speed was good for the first fifteen minutes. Then I made a mistake that allowed Ken De Dycker and Jonathan to pass Barragan. Overall it was a decent weekend with my third best result of the year. I can't wait to ride in front of my home crowd in Mattely Basin in 14 days."
Ken Dycker During the first moto he had to deal with the after-effects of his crash in Lommel. A 15th place was the highest possible in the first heat. A better start in the second heat resulted in a 9th place. Afterwards it turned out that De Dycker did not get around to training in the week before Loket.
“This is not my favorite track, just because it is so fast. If you start well, you can keep up with the leaders. If not, it's a long and difficult road ahead! Considering the fact that I had to rest all week, all in all, today didn't go that bad. Tomorrow I'll go to the doctor again for a check-up, but I don't think it's anything serious. I twisted some vertebrae, causing veins and nerves to be pinched. An additional problem was the loss of strength in my shoulders” says De Dycker.
