FFM already presents Elite 2012!
While with us the Lotto Trophy is still in full swing, people in France are already looking towards 2012 FFM (Fédération Française de Motocyclisme) and the six organizing clubs of the Motocross Elite Championship have already finished their homework for next year.
New competition schedule
Just like this year, the championship will also take place before the end of May next year. Together with the riders, the FFM devised a new competition formula. But just like this year, training, qualifications and competitions will take place on the same day. A maximum of 2 riders per class (MX1 or MX80) may start training and qualifying. There are two training sessions and two qualifying sessions per class. The riders who cannot qualify for the heats go directly to the B-Final. The riders who were able to qualify will then participate in the round of their class. The best 20 riders per class can then go to the Super Final. Those who could not qualify will still compete during the A-Finale.
MX International de France
A total of €228 can be distributed over the six races of the Elite Championship next year. What is new is that the FFM is creating the “MX Internationaux de France” trophy for 000, for which the scratch results of the Superfinals are eligible. That trophy is also open to foreign riders. The winner of this trophy will receive a check for €2012 at the end of May. The actual French titles MX20.000 and MX1 are retained, but in 2 they are still reserved for French riders or foreigners with an FFM permit.
