Cairoli is once again doing a great business in Kegums
Antonio Cairoli (KTM) won the tenth GP of the season with a double series victory in Kegums, Latvia. The Italian preceded the Frenchman Steven Frossard (Yamaha) and the Russian Evgeny Bobryshev (Honda) in the final standings.
Clement Desalle (Suzuki) did not get further than ninth place and again lost many points to the leader Cairoli. Desalle crashed heavily on his injured shoulder in the first moto after Steven Frossard's out-of-control bike knocked De Waal to the ground. He was able to start again but did not get further than eighth place. In the second moto Desalle made a good start, but due to severe pain he dropped back to eighth place. Cairoli today increased his lead in the standings to 42 points over Desalle.
Ken de Dycker (Honda) finished seventh in the final standings with sixth and ninth place. Steve Ramon (Suzuki) finished in 8th place and Kevin Strijbos (Suzuki) was 21st.
