The Kesterheide feeling by: Speaker Fred Decock
During the weekend of May 28 and 29 AMC The Future Dworp guarantees the organization of one of the motocross classics in our country: the Motocross of the Kesterheide. In addition to the riders, others also eagerly look forward to it every year Flanders' most beautiful. One of them is a speaker Fred Decock. Fred takes in Kester together with Leon Van Gestel the Dutch-language live commentary. What is being Kesterheide feeling?
“The Kesterheide is for Flemish motocross what the Tour of Flanders is for cycling: a great day. The cross on the Kesterheide is a tradition that has been going on for many years. You always have a strong international field of participants behind the starting gate. Moreover, this year the world's best in Sidecar Cross will also be competing at the Kesterheide. Still, I'm not really stressed about this match. In the week leading up to it I try not to even think about it. I have 34 years of experience as a speaker. In those years, in addition to Belgian Nationals and BK competitions, I also commented on GPs and even three MX of Nations. I just come to the cross in the morning and try to make the best of it together with my colleagues Leon Van Gestel and Guy Boonen. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we will have another wonderful cross day at the Kesterheide.”
