BK Enduro: Preview Buzancy
The Belgian Enduro Championship is preparing for the first trip to France of this season. With the results of the Enduro of Saint-Hubert still hanging (De BMB has not yet communicated about this) we also do not know the actual positions in the BK. One thing is certain, the match in Buzancy will be of high sporting quality.
It promises to be busy in the densely wooded area of the tiny village Buzancy, because in addition to the Belgian Championship, the competition also counts towards the Swiss Championship and the championships of six French regions.
The Belgian Championship was significantly strengthened this year by the arrival of Cedric Melotte. In Buzancy another big name is added: Joel Smets. The five-time motocross world champion will participate in two BC competitions this year and Buzancy is already one of them. In the French Ardennes the Dessel native will be on one Husqvarna TE449 from Benelux importer MotoMondo Hatch. Smets made up for it 2003 already met the BK when he was the Enduro of Gembloux drove and immediately registered it in his name.
This time it could be less easy Garbage, who competes against fellow crossers in the E2 class Bob Van Looveren en Christophe Descamps. The toughest resistance will probably come from Jean-François Goblet. This applies in E1 and E3 Roel Verpoorten en Wim Vanderheyden as favorites.
In French Ardennes should the Inters three rounds of 100 km finish off. Every round counts 2 specials and so there is plenty of opportunity to make a difference there. Buzancy is about 220 km from Brussels.
