Ken de Dycker triumphs in Mons
Sunny weather and a lot of public interest for the first round of the Lotto Trophy-BK Motocross in Mons! The grueling sand circuit “le bois brûlée” is an ideal preparation for the Valkenswaard GP, but it also took its toll. Jeremy van Horebeek was discharged with a dislocated shoulder and Kevin Strijbos also had to retire with pain in his knee and shoulder after a crash.
Ken de Dycker, for his part, still recovered from the pain of his fall last week and showed that he has the speed to also compete at the front in the GPs. With two series victories and a second place in the exciting final round, Dycker is the first leader in the BC. He preceded a somewhat ill Desalle (2-2-1) and Simpson (4-3-4). Reigning Belgian champion Ramon finished fourth, followed by Guarneri.

Ken De Dycker set the fastest time in the qualifications ahead of a surprising Van Horebeek and Clément Desalle. De Dycker effortlessly fulfilled his role of favorite with an easy victory in the first race over 20 minutes plus one lap.
Strijbos, who was doing well, bumped his knee and disappeared from the match early. Van Horebeek also had to give up in the final phase. The Red Bull-KTM rider dislocated his shoulder during the crash and was taken to hospital. Around 14:15 PM there will be the second round of the Inters Open.
