Exclusive: Wauters, Vandergugten and Van Loon to Team Dirt Racing Supply!
Arnaud Wauters (portrait photo below), Belgian Champion at the MX2010 Nationals in 2, immediately switches from the MX Dream Team to Team Dirt Racing Supply. Wauters, who made his debut with the Inters MX2011 of the BMB in 2, received Olivier Vandergugten en Tom Van Loon as teammates. The three riders of the brand new team will compete on a KTM SX-F from Motorshop Desmet. Van Loon's comeback is somewhat surprising because at the end of 2009 it seemed that the Kempen native had said goodbye to the sport for good. The team is led by Nicolas Stampaert. Team manager Nicolas Stampaert about Arnaud Wauters and Olivier Vandergugten: “Arnaud has been training very well in recent months and has set his sights on the title in the BK MX2. Olivier finished third at the Nationals MX2 last year and is now aiming for a place in the top five of the Inters MX2. By the way, Olivier is now driving on Sunday Endurope Le Touquet. "
The return of Tom Van Loon!
Team Dirt Racing Supply will not only compete in the BK MX2. “The Belgian Championship MX2 has priority, but in addition Arnaud and Olivier will ride a few rounds of the European Championship MX2. There are also some competitions in the ONK MX2 on the program. Furthermore, the team will also participate in the international competitions in Fox Hill and Roggenburg,” says Stampaert.
In addition to his own company Dirt Racing Supply, Stampaert managed to convince a whole host of sponsors to join the team. “Scratchi Design, Pascual Games, Motorshop Desmet KTM, Monster Energy, Fly Racing, Von Zipper, BO Motor Oil, Multi-Air, Racetech, Royal Hills Experience, Barta Racing, Samco Sport, Afam and Ferodo are all contributing . Thanks to their support, we were able to set up the team,” concludes Stampaert.
