Busy schedule for Wim Vanderheyden
Wim Vanderheyden may be one of the old age deans of the BK Enduro, but taking it easy is apparently not in his dictionary. The Husaberg Belgium rider will also be working hard in 2011. In addition to the 11 competitions of the BK Enduro, there are also two stages of the French championship on Wim's competition calendar. Vanderheyden will also be in action during 3 French classics and the Xtreme Enduro in Dudelange, Luxembourg. If he is selected, Vanderheyden will defend the Belgian colors again this year during the ISDE in Finland. The Dutch-speaking Walloon Brabander will mainly compete on the new Husaberg TE 300 two-stroke machine during these competitions.
“But my program will not only consist of enduro competitions,” says Vanderheyden. “This year I will be at the start of the 12 hours of La Chinelle again,” he continues. Vanderheyden also remains true to his roots as a motocross rider. “I will contest three Belgian Nationals in 2011. However, the BMB motocross calendar has been set up in such a way that for the first time in 18 years I will not be riding a single race in the BC. I will even have to miss my home race in Kester, although I will continue to help the club with the adjustments to the circuit. In addition to the Belgian Nationals, I also participate in three races of the Northern French Ligue des Flandres,” concludes Vanderheyden.
