Kawasaki KX250 aluminum 'David Van Hooff'
Two-strokes have started a silent comeback. Not only in enduro, but more and more riders are (re)discovering the advantages of a 2T dirt bike. The only disadvantage, of course, is that the number of brands that still come up with new developments is very limited. However, that is not an insurmountable problem, as David Van Hooff shows. The Kawasaki rider will switch from the AMPL to the BMB (Seniors) next season, but he will remain loyal to Kawa with a very special motorcycle: a KX 250 in an aluminum frame!
A two-stroke 250cc Kawasaki block was spooned into a 250 KX-F frame with the help of John Jadoul. This engine offers an original combination of power, light weight and agility so that it can even compete with modern four-strokes without any problem. In short; has a machine with potential.
