The Liebers are aiming for the BK MX2
The Walloon brothers Cédric and Julien Lieber made their GP debut last season. In addition, Julien, the baby boy, turned out to be the revelation of the MX2 European Championship. In 2011, the Liebers will complete the entire MX2 World Championship. They can continue to count on the advice of five-time world champion Georges Jobé. The Lieber Racing Team switched from Suzuki to KTM in the mid-season. The brothers also start their seasonal preparation in Spain and France around this time. Cédric, the eldest brother, starts the preparation with some delay. He strained a cruciate ligament during motorcycle training in November.
The brothers from Malmédy will also compete in the BK MX2. And that is remarkable, because this year the Liebers were only at the start of two BC competitions. In 2011, however, the Liebers completed the entire BK MX2. And that also means that there will be two more title candidates.
So it looks like the East Cantons will be put on the Belgian motocross map in 2011. In addition to the Lieber brothers' World Cup participation, the region will have another first with the organization of a Belgian National in Dürler on June 5.
