Successful MON MX season completed!
The 2010 motocross season concluded successfully after the last MON youth competition in Dongen and the National competition in Meijel. After a full calendar year of almost 100 competitions, the MON can look back with satisfaction. Johan Becker, director of MON, indicates that he looks back with satisfaction on a successful motocross season with many great competitions: “The motocross branch at MON has grown again in 2010. The number of training and starting permits has increased by more than 10%. The increase in the number of licenses is mainly due to the ever-increasing interest in the sport of motocross. In addition, in these difficult economic times, many motocross riders choose to participate in as many competitions as possible for the lowest possible costs. This is therefore the most important objective of the MON, to offer as much motorsport as possible for recreational sports in an affordable and safe manner.”
Review 2010 National competition
The MON Women's Class has grown into a full-fledged class with a growth of almost 60%. The number of youth riders has also risen again with an increase of 5%. Youth is the future, the MON will continue to pay a lot of attention to youth motocross in the coming year. New in 2010 were the MX Open Nationals and MX Open Inters classes, these classes have been well received and have grown into two full-fledged classes.
Regional competition North-East
The MON successfully started a North-East Regional Competition at the beginning of this year in addition to the regular national motocross competitions. This competition is mainly aimed at regional riders. The objective of the MON is to develop a strong recreational sports competition in some regions, focusing mainly on motocross riders who do not participate in national competitions. The status of the regional competitions is directly below that of the national motocross competitions, but above the club and regional competitions. This great result could of course only be achieved in collaboration with the MON associations and the efforts of the many volunteers who ensured that all competitions ran as smoothly as possible. The MON would therefore like to thank everyone involved for their efforts and involvement.
2011 In 2011, the MON aims to present a nice full motocross competition calendar again. All matches from April 1 will count towards the championship.
Cross Certificate To ensure safety on and around the circuit, the MON has developed a Cross Certificate. It is an initiative of the Youth Commission in collaboration with the MON MX trainers. The Cross Certificate is primarily intended for newcomers and young motocross riders. In 2011, the Cross Certificate is mandatory for all starting and training certificate holders.
Red license plate In 2011, the leaders of all classes in the MON championship will also be allowed to drive with the coveted red number plate. This is determined by the ranking before the start of the first round. More information about the MON motocross competitions 2010/2011 can be found at www.mon.nl.
MON Champion Ceremony On December 19 in Boekel, all MON MX champions will be honored during the Champion Ceremony in Boekel. Naturally, the champions of the other branches of motorsport that are affiliated with the MON will also be put in the spotlight.
