Matt Goerke wins SX Stuttgart
The 24-year-old American Matt Goerke (24) is the overall victor of the ADAC Supercross in Stuttgart. The Sturm-Kawasaki pilot won the final two days in a row, earning him 5.000 euros in prize money. In the final standings, Goerke precedes the Frenchman Cédric Soubeyras. Chad Johnson was third. With a total of 15.980 spectators over both evenings, Stuttgart broke the previous spectator record.
The German Dennis Ullrich became 'the Prince of Stuttgart' in MX2. Dutch SX specialist Maurice Klijn achieved a fine fifth place in the first final on Saturday. Nick Kouwenberg rode to a 6th and 7th place on Friday. Yentel Martens had an unfortunate weekend, he broke his ankle on Saturday. Much more dramatic, however, was the heavy fall by Rinus Van De Ven. Rinus broke fifteen bones.
