Chad Reed will contest the Australian Super X Championship on a Honda prepared by Pro Circuit. The Australian, who currently does not have a contract with an American team, will win the Super Team Vodafone go driving. For example, the team's two Holden Commodores finished 1st last weekende in 2. e in Bathurst 1000, the Queen's stage of the championship. Triple Eight, the company behind team Vodafone, is also active in the British Touring Car Championship.
The Super
For now, Reed will only contest the Super X championship for Team Vodafone. Yet the collaboration with Team Vodafone seems to be a first step towards a career as a car racer. This is reflected in the enthusiastic statement from Team Vodafone boss Roland Dane.
“Chad is one of Australia's biggest sporting stars, whose achievements are known around the world. We are delighted to welcome Chad as a Team Vodafone team member, and we are thrilled that his bike for Super X features a similar color scheme to our cars. In the past he has already shown that he can also perform well on four wheels. We are looking forward to further testing it with our Holden Commodore,” said Dane.
