Ben Townley to MX1 GPs with CLS-Kawasaki!
After a good or bad saga with Honda-Martin and previous reports that the 25-year-old Townley would stay in the States in 2011, BT101 will return to Europe next year! Townley will compete for CLS-Kawasaki in the MX1 World Championship with the support of Pro Circuit. With this, CLS wants to have a shot at the MX1 world title. Although Kawasaki Racing Team remains the official factory team. At CLS-Kawasaki BT meets two old acquaintances with Harry Nolte and Kees Van Der Ven. Nolte and Van Der Ven led the Kiwi to his MX2004 world title in 2.
It would according to Moto Verte The intention is for Townley to first participate in the New Zealand Championship, and then start in the French Elite. After a long absence, Townley made a successful comeback this year. He finished fourth in the AMA Nationals, won series in the MX1 GP of Glen Helen and at the Red Bull MX Of Nations.
