Vanderheyden also in 2011 at Husaberg
Husaberg Belgium rider Wim Vanderheyden will also defend the colors of the Swedish/Austrian brand on the Belgian specials in 2011. Vanderheyden, who will compete in the BK Enduro this year with an FE 490, is currently ranked 3nd in the E2 classe place in the standings. Only three points behind Kevin Gauniaux the Belgian title is therefore still possible for Vanderheyden.
Next year we will see the Walloon Brabant garage rider again in the Enduro 3, but on Husaberg's new TE 300 two-stroke motorcycle. A machine that clearly suits Vanderheyden because in the past 12 Heures de La Chinelle, he managed, together with Cedric Cremer en Roel Verpoorten to immediately send this Husaberg to second place. The very first international podium for a Husaberg two-stroke engine! “And then say that our preparation was not even optimal,” says Vanderheyden. “It was only a week before La Chinelle that we made the decision to use the TE300 instead of the FE 490. At Husaberg they were very satisfied with the response. After this wonderful debut with the TE 300, I am already looking forward to next season.”
It is still unclear whether we will also see Vanderheyden at work at a number of BMB motocross competitions in 2011.
