Strong Dutch team for MXoEN in Markelo!
The final selection for the MX of European Nations, on October 2 and 3 in Markelo, has been announced. KNMV national coach Leon Giesbers has selected the following riders: Marc de Reuver (MX1), Glenn Coldenhoff (MX2), Ceriel Klein Kromhof (MX open). Herjan Brakke will join us as a reserve driver.
The Netherlands won the MX of European Nations in Ukraine last year, with a team consisting of Herjan Brakke, Mike Kras and Jeffrey Herlings, who is currently injured. The Dutch team will try to extend the title in front of the home crowd at the well-known circuit 'De Herikerberg' in Markelo. The defending champions are Marc De Reuver (Lommel, Belgium), Glenn Coldenhoff (Heesch) and Ceriel Klein Kromhof ( Daarlerveen) with numbers 1 to 3.
The MX of European Nations is one of the largest international motocross events, with participation from at least twenty countries. This year the field of participants seems stronger than ever. The Dutch team will compete against a strong Belgian selection with Manuel Priem, Kevin Strijbos and Jeremy Van Horebeek. The Estonians come with Juss Laansoo, Priit Rätsep and Tanel Leok. Italy brings in Davide Guarneri, Alessandro Lupino and Matteo Bonini. To ride in the MX or European Nations you cannot be in the top five of the World Championship.
