Race dates: September 5
The Danish Slagelse was the setting for the penultimate match of the World Cup Sidecar Cross. Reigning world champions led beforehand Joris Hendrickx-Kaspars Liepins ahead by 13 points Daniel Willemsen. Willemsen knew Dagwin Sabbe in the arena to win the Danish GP. The duo won the first series but had to give up in the second Etienne Bax-Ben van den Bogaart. The young Dutch also finished second in the final standings for Jan Hendrickx-Tim Smeuninx. Hendrickx-Liepins had a disappointing GP. In the first series the defending champions did not cross the finish line, but in the repeat they came fourth. Due to their DNF in series 1 and the good performance of Willemsen-Sabbe, Hendrickx-Liepins saw their lead turned into a deficit of 16 points. With another GP to go, next weekend in Germany Rudersberg, the chances of title extension for Hendrickx-Liepins seem to have shrunk considerably.
