Tomorrow D-Day for Kiezelgraaf in Neeroeteren
An extremely important appointment has been scheduled for MC Maasland and the Kiezelgraven tomorrow. Because on Friday, September 17, the Council of State will discuss the action committee's request to have the RUP (Spatial Implementation Plan) annulled. Due to the approval of this RUP, the Neeroeteren circuit was in a recreational zone.
Laurent Delbroek of MC Maasland summarizes the situation: “This RUP was approved by a large majority in the Limburg provincial council in December 2008. Sixty-five council members were in favor, two (from Lijst Dedecker) were against. The Action Committee – read Mr. Nijs demanded and obtained the suspension from the Council of State and subsequently requested its annulment. We as MC Maasland, the province and the Flemish region then appealed against this request for annulment.” Hopefully there is good news now. The ruling should follow fairly quickly. We are already lighting a candle for a happy ending...
