Bercy draws the youth card
Both previous editions of the world's most famous supercross were dominated by James Stewart then that will no longer be the case this year. The American megastar's dominance was also evident within its walls Palais Omnisport Paris Bercy too big. As a result, there were hardly any exciting races. This year throws Larivière Organization, the company behind the Bercy Supercross, has therefore radically changed course.
This year, due to calendar restrictions – there is more going on in Bercy than in your local parish hall – the competition will take place a few weeks later. Namely during the weekend of November 19, 20 and 21, 2010. In addition, the competition concept was also tinkered with. The organization once again opted for a match format in which the French competed against the Americans and the rest of Europe.
Become captain of the French team, of course Marvin Musquin, for whom Bercy will also mean a bit of an adieu to the French motocross public. Musquin is assisted in the City of Light by Gautier Paulin, Gregory Aranda en Fabien Izoird. In addition, the two best riders from the French SX Tour qualify for the International main program every evening.
The full American delegation is not yet known, but it is certain Geico Powersports Honda teammates Justin Barcia en Trey Canard make their European debut in Bercy.
Coming from the European side Tony Cairoli en Ken Roczen went to Paris. Especially for the latter, Bercy will be a nice indicator to see where he stands compared to the Americans in supercross. Roczen's teammate Arnaud Tonus is also part of the European team. Become further Max Anstie en Tommy Searle mentioned as possible drivers. Bercy therefore fully opts for the youth, which makes us suspect that the competitions will be more exciting than in 2009! In other words, if there is one SX appointment this winter that you should not miss, it is definitely Bercy. Everyone to Paris!
