VIDEO: Monster Energy pilots on 4 wheels!
Who is the fastest motocross rider on four wheels? That question was the focus of the Monster Energy Karting in Lommel. With a strong field of participants (all Monster Energy pilots except Keeno and Christophe Charlier) it was difficult to estimate who would win. Ultimately it turned out to be the toughest karter Harry Kullas, for Alessandro Lupino and Evgeny Bobryshev. A journalist race was also planned afterwards. Since our photographer Christophe 'CDS' Desmet, the revelation of the kart race in Franciacorta last year, was on holiday, Olivier got the honor. Oli completed a decent race but finished in the middle of the pack. “A few kilos too heavy and a weak kart,” Oli said in his post-race quote. Motocross Planet colleague Arno Van Den Brink won the journalist race with flying colors!
As the main sponsor of the World Championship from next year, Monster Energy is preparing to help provide the atmosphere at and around the GPs. Fun events such as this karting competition are certainly part of this, as is side entertainment for the public. The lovely Monster Energy babes will also be present more than ever in 2011. We can hardly wait!
