Roczen dominates, first podium of The Jerre!
In Campo Grande, Brazil, Ken Roczen won both heats in the MX2 class. Roczen always defeated Marvin Musquin in a nice direct duel, but was clearly the fastest today. Good news also for Jeremy van Horebeek who achieved his first podium of the year today. More later !
In the first heat we saw a nice duel between Roczen and Musquin. The two played leapfrog for rounds and in the end Roczen turned out to be the freshest of the two. Roczen eventually won convincingly ahead of Musquin and Tonus. After a bad start, Jeremy van Horebeek finished sixth, just ahead of Joel Roelants.
In the second series we got a similar scenario. Roczen and Musquin fought a fierce duel for first place and behind them there was a big gap. Jeremy van Horebeek quickly came into third place after a mistake by Paulin and never relinquished it. Because Tonus and Osbourne had a poor second series, this was enough for The Jerre to achieve his first podium of the season. After a long period of setbacks, this is a welcome podium for the Kawasaki rider. Joel Roelants finished seventh, just like in the first heat.
