Husqvarna 2011: Evolutionarily new
Husqvarna has spent a lot of time and energy developing the TE 449 and its twin brother the TE 511. With a new 449 cc block (the 511 has a larger bore), electronic fuel injection and a completely new chassis, Husqvarna sets new standards. the toughest enduro classes.
Together with the arrival of electronic fuel injection, there is now also a choice of 2 different mappings. One where full power is released and one where the engine becomes slightly more moderate. This is especially useful on slippery surfaces. Regardless, the Husqvarna TE 449 and 511 have an absolute advantage when it comes to traction. Thanks to the CTS (Coaxial Traction System), the spring action is not subject to the chain tension and the drive of the motor. This ensures constant and therefore better traction. Husqvarna eliminates the varying forces caused by the drive by combining the front sprocket on a shaft that provides both the drive for the engine and the pivot point of the swingarm. The top-mounted link system on the swingarm is also noticeable. This improves the functioning of the shock absorber and also contributes to better traction. However, placing the link system at the top of the swingarm also provides greater ground clearance and greatly simplifies maintenance.
Superior Kayaba suspension components, Brembo brakes and Excell rims are the external features of a superior bicycle. but of course the new frame and swingarm also play a major role. Furthermore, Husqvarna only chooses high-quality components. The Akrapovic exhaust keeps the engine within homologation standards in terms of exhaust noise, but a more competition-oriented Akrapovic Racing Exhaust is also available from the TE.
And there is also the extensive mass centralization. The TE 449 and 511 have a dual tank. The largest part - with a capacity of 6,5 liters - is fed via the back of the saddle and is located centrally in the engine. Below that, however, there is a second tank part that is 2 liters in size, hangs even lower in the engine and is made of transparent plastic. So you can always see when your petrol supply becomes too low.
With the 2011 TE 449 and 511, Husqvarna takes a giant step forward. Due to their high-quality technology, the new TEs may well be the reference point in the market!
