Desalle and Frossard the fastest in Loket
Loket woke up this morning to a large and long downpour lasting several hours. After the first training sessions, it was ultimately decided to shorten the program and switch to 1 free practice and 1 time practice to determine the starting order for tomorrow.
In the MX2 class, Kawasaki rider Steven Frossard was fastest ahead of Musquin. The Pro Circuit machines prove to be very good on this circuit as Jeremy van Horebeek set the third fastest time. Zach Osbourne also seems to feel at home in the mud, setting the fourth fastest time. Joel Roelants and Dennis Verbruggen rode the 12th and 13th fastest times while the third JM rider Delincé placed 17th. Newcomer Cedric Lieber had the 26th fastest time and Nick Triest follows further in 31st place.
In the MX1 class the top 5 was almost entirely Belgian. Only Leok was able to take second place. The fastest time was for Desalle, who won his first GP here last year. Loket is also at the top of Kevin Strijbos's list of favorite courses, which became clear with his third place. Ken de Dycker followed neatly in fourth place and Steve Ramon completed the Belgian party.
This night it would rain a bit in Loket, but before the matches it would be dry and the sun would even appear briefly.
