Raceltats 18/7
LS Motors Honda rider Dennis Dierckx was the best at the VMCF Inters in Werchter. The Ranst native took victory in both series in Flemish Brabant. David Segers and Stijn Verstrepen each finished 2nde in 3. e behind Dierckx. Home rider Ricky Nijs missed the final podium.
At the Inters MX2 the day's victory went surprisingly well David De Merlier. Patatsky was flanked on stage by Frederic Weigert and Olivier Hermans. The 2e The heat was briefly shocked by a spectacular crash by Damon Goyvaerts in the whoops. Fortunately, without too much trouble for the resident of Putten, who for a moment seemed to be riding a rodeo bull. At the Inters B the victory went to Local Hero Jelle Wijns.
As a bonus, the riders received another one super final presented in Werchter. This turned out to be no match for Stijn Verstrepen. Together with Dennis Dierckx, Verstrepen hunted for the riders from the other classes who had started before them. The Honda duo seemed to cut through butter as they made their way to the top of the race. For a while it looked like Dennis Dierckx could threaten the Waveraar, but with 2 laps to go "Streep" pulled through and was able to open a gap. Mike Gilot became the first Inter MX2 on a 3e place. The performance of Motorsport Future recruit Axel Nijs is also worth mentioning. The young Hagelander was more than able to hold his own with an 85cc machine among much older riders on heavier machines.
