The European Championship MX2 visited Spain this weekend for the second time this season. The place of action was the town of La Baneza in the province of Léon. It was the Spaniard Cristian Galera who secured the overall victory with a series victory and a second place. On the 1540 meter long circuit it turned out Julien Lieber (in the photo here) the best of the lowlanders. With a 4th and an 8th place, the 15-year-old from Liège would finish 5th overall. Also Lieber's brother Cédric and Vamo Suzuki's Maarten Cremers scored points. The only Dutch person in La Baneza was Stijn Blom. The rider from the Modiform team managed to score twice with an 18th and 16th place.

Sidecar GP Flanders: Willemsen-Eggink beat the home drivers!
No victory for one Belgian team during the GP of Flanders sidecar cross at Horenbergsdam in Genk. Daniël Willemsen and Gertie Eggink A first and fourth place in the series was enough to take the GP victory. The surprise came in the first series of the duo Peter Steegmans-Sven Verbrugge who finished 2e finished ahead of the equally surprising French brothers Bigand. Jan Hendrickx and Tim Smeuninx just managed to stay ahead of their teammates Joris Hendrickx and Kaspars Liepins.
However, the reigning world champions managed to bounce back in the second series, which they won ahead of Etienne Bax-Ben van den Bogaart. However, there was setback for the Belgian-Dutch duo Ben Adriaenssen en Kenny Van Gaalen. After a crash in the opening lap of the first heat, the former MON champion was no longer in action. VLM: Grand Grade in pole
Jelle Grade seems to be the patron of the VLM more than ever. The BeTeMo-Yamaha rider won both series of the VLM competition on Sunday at the Circuit Marnicq Bervoets in Paal.
