UNPUBLISHED COMPETITION PROGRAM
A unique and unmissable opportunity to see the Everts-Tortelli duo at work again, in a truly exceptional competition programme. There are races for that afternoon 'Ladies', 'Future Stars' (85cc), 'GP Stars' (MX1/MX2) and 'Golden Heroes' (vintage cars). And the following series are included on the competition sheet:
FUTURE STARS VS. GP STARS: Two series in which the GP toppers (MX1/MX2), who start from the second row, compete against the young 'Future Stars', all mandatory on board an 85cc engine.
LADIES CHASE: A confrontation between the GP toppers and the 'Ladies' in which the MX1 and MX2 pilots have to try to make up one lap behind the ladies.
WRONG WAY PIT STOP RACE: Once again a showdown between the 'Ladies' and the 'GP Stars', who start from the second row, driving over the course in the opposite direction. In addition, the GP toppers are obliged to make a pit stop where they have to replace the rear wheel of their motorcycle themselves.
AMERICAN RACE of AMERICAN: Elimination race for the 'GP Stars' where one lap is completed each time and the last three or two riders are eliminated. Until finally two finalists remain. These will compete in the final over two laps.
GOLDEN HEROES: Two classic series of 12 minutes and one round in which the 'Golden Heroes' compete against each other on their vintage motocross bikes.
LIAM & FRIENDS: Also Liam Evert, five years old now and a skilled BMX rider, will be present in Genk on board his PW crosser. Together with a number of friends, he will complete a few laps during the break on a mini course that will be mapped out on and along the starting zone.
TOTAL SPECTACLE FOR CHAIR CAUSE
But there will also be plenty to do off the course. The riders' quarters and team trucks are clearly arranged in a U-shape, there is children's entertainment (bouncy castle, trampolines, make-up, etc.) and afterwards a real party starts supporters party in the big party tent. It provides extra art and flying, between and after the competitions Freestyle 'FMX4ever' Team of Jimmy Verburgh. There is also one during the break autograph session with the World Cup top players.
Specially for 'Everts & Friends' composed Praga Kahn figurehead Maurice Angels an exciting song that will blare through the loudspeakers prior to the start of each match. For the final winner in the 'Future Stars' category there is the Stefan Everts challenge trophy, a stone-carved replication of the last air-cooled engine block, complete with kick starter and spark plug head, that 'The Legend' drove. Joel Robert, Sylvain Geboers en Harry Everts, together good for 10 World Championship titles, climb – very exceptionally – again on the motorcycle and ride a lap of honor on the Horensbergdam.
As with previous editions, the proceeds from the 'Everts & Friends Charity Race' integrally to charities selected by Stefan Everts that mainly focus on children and young people: 'A Heart for Limburg' (King Baudouin Foundation), 'Make a Wish', Ter Heide (counselling center for persons with severe or multiple intellectual disabilities) and Foundation Kriibskrank Kanner (a Luxembourgish-Belgian children's cancer fund). A number of these children and young people will also be present in Genk. They are received in a separate VIP room and enjoy the attention of some of them Mediclowns.
