Visit the René Baeten Memorial in Herentals!
It has been exactly half a century since the first Belgian motocross world champion, René Baeten from Herentals, died. Coincidentally, the international FIM rally will also take place in Herentals this year. With the opening ceremony of this famous rally for motorcycle tourists, the Memorial exhibition around René Baeten also opened today in Cultural Center 't Schaliken.
Here you get a great look at Baeten's sporting career through photos, film footage, works of art, trophies and much more. Highly recommended and MXM was there like the chickens! More about this little blonde pioneer of the Dutch MX later this week. You can see a preview of the Memorial below. More information about the FIMrally can be found on dthis site.
