VMCF Inter championship in Genk
In 2010, VMCF also has a number of Belgium's best amateur crossers. After a start-up period that was disrupted by the bad spring weather, the Inters of VMCF will now start their championship in Genk on Sunday. With many big names behind the starting gate, the VMCF Inters promise to become one of the most exciting amateur championships in Belgium.
Interest MX1 A: many candidates
In addition to the usual suspects David Segers en David Cools there are a number of new privateers on the coast this year. Dennis Dierckx rode a very strong season last year until he was injured during the BC round in Nismes. With a broken wrist the LS Motors-Honda driver watched as his lead in the VMCF Championship melted away like snow in the sun. Tom De Belder is another veteran who could have a claim to the podium. The Belder certainly has the class but is unfortunately also very inconsistent. Stijn Verstrepen, who has just come to stick his nose to the window, could immediately play a role as an outsider. The young rider from Onze-Lieve-Vrouw Waver is certainly not yet a candidate for the title, but with a few outliers he might be able to conquer a few podium places.
A similar observation arises Maarten Govaert. The sympathetic Suzuki rider from Wetteren is now in his second season with the Inters A, but has yet to achieve his first victory at the highest level. Can the SixStar Racing driver stand on the highest podium this year?
Interest MX2A: Collet's comeback
Zeeuw Mark Boat has been a regular in the VMCF and BMB competitions for several years. The KTM rider from Burgh-Haamstede is perhaps the biggest challenger Vincent Collett. The Walloon MX2 specialist starts this season as a big favorite for the title of the Inters MX2 A. WD Racing Yamaha rider knows how to ride a championship. However, Collet can also face resistance from this Mike Gilot to expect. The promising young Waal recently switched from the MX1 to the MX2 class and now rides a KTM SX-F 250. Kenny Kieschnick en Kevin Reynaert are not immediate title candidates, but both could end up on the final podium.
Inters B Open: Open Struggle
Another category in which it is difficult to predict who will ultimately win the title. Ghent resident Gaëtan Van Den Bossche showed his skills in Wetteren and could also be a title candidate. After all, the former Motorsport Future driver has already tasted the highest Belgian level. Whether that experience from last year can actually help Van Den Bossche win the title remains to be seen. Also riders like Glenn Lambaerts en Tim Govaert In our opinion, we can provide good papers.
