Three out of three for Van Doninck in France
After Chateau Gontier and Chateau du Loir, Brent Van Doninck now also has the third competition in the French Cadet Championship in Thomer La Sôgne written to his name. The talent from Herental steered his KTM SX85 to three series victories. Brent won each time by a wide margin. The Belgians did a more than decent job overall in Thomer the Sôgne.
Martens, Hofman and Heylen are also doing well
Daymond Martens came second in the second heat and fifth overall. Stijn Hofman was 11th in the final standings and Yannick Heylen was 15th. The final score you find here. Despite his dominance, Van Doninck is only moral and virtual leader in the French championship. In France you can only score points after three years with a French license. Brent has won seven series out of nine so far! Under normal circumstances he would lead with 215 points, compared to 153 points for Nicolas Dercourt. Daymond Martens is ninth with 153 points.
The somewhat SX-like track turned out to be perfect for Van Doninck in the morning, who qualified four seconds faster than the second, Nicolas Dercourt. In the first heat Brent turned a bad start into a leading position. He drives to victory without any problems. Martens is seventh, Motorsport-Future driver Hofman is 11th. In the second series, Van Doninck is ninth, but he quickly moves to the front runners and takes the lead from front starter Daymond Martens. Although Brent makes a slide, he wins with more than 15 seconds ahead of Martens. Hofman is now eighth, Heylen comes in tenth on his Soes. As is often the case, the last series is the best for Van Doninck, who does well this time. Stefan Everts' protégé quickly moves into the lead and builds up a wide margin thanks to a tight rhythm. The difference with Joachim Falden at the finish is more than 28 seconds. The other Belgians finished 10th (Martens), 13th (Heylen) and 17th (Hofman) respectively.
