Preview ONK Halle
The KNMV Open Dutch Motocross Championship has been a regular guest at the 'De Kappenbulten' circuit in Halle for a long time. The Gelderland circuit is known as particularly spectacular for both drivers and the public! On March 28, 2010, the second competition of the ONK will be held by organizer HALMAC. After the great opening competition on March 14 in Mill in Brabant, we will see the MX1-MX2-85cc and the ladies in action again in Halle. The complete start lists see you here.
Open battle in MX1?
Many famous names in Halle this Sunday. In the MX1 we see champion Patrick Roos who has to compete against Marc De Reuver, Kevin Strijbos, Tom Soderstrom, Marvin van Daele and Bas Verhoeven. After all, Verhoeven has something to make up for after remaining scoreless during the match in Mill. Normally we also see Ken Dycker at the start on Sunday. More on that his column.
Made in the MX2 Jeffrey herlings made a big impression last year by winning both heats. The great talent from Elsendorp is now a factory rider at KTM. This season he will have to compete against reigning champion Joel Roelants, Ceriel Klein-Kromhof, Herjan Brakke, Glenn Coldenhoff and Nick Triest. Negaan-JM Racing-KTM rider Dennis Verbruggen will be motivated after a disappointing start to the championship in Mill where crusty crashed twice early. We see this for the first time among the ladies Steffi Laier at the start. The reigning World Champion had to miss the match in Mill due to obligations in his own country. Laier is certainly the favorite for victory and perhaps for the title despite missing the first match. All the fast Dutch ladies Marielle de Mol, Marianne Veenstra, Nicky van Wordrageren and Shirley Verkade will be present. The Belgian side is mainly looking forward to this Brenda Wagemans who just missed the podium in Mill.
In the 85cc, the champion, Lars van Berkel, has left the class, paving the way for a new champion. It is difficult to identify a favorite among these young men Micha-Boy de WaalWe can certainly expect Brian Bogers, Freek van der Vlist and Davy Pootjes at the front. Here too, fast southern neighbors are at the start, led by the reigning German champion Brent Van Doninck.
