ONK Halle MX2: Herlings hits hard!
After a somewhat disappointing start to the ONK in Mill, Jeffrey Herlings (Red Bull-KTM) put the finishing touches to the t's in Halle today. At 'De Kappenbulten' there was no match for the vice Dutch MX2 champion of 2009. After a brilliant qualifying, the Jeff in the first heat, she came back very strongly from last place. He managed to win this ahead of Roelants, Klein-Kromhof, Brakke and Triest. Dennis Verbruggen came in seventh.
As could be expected, Herlings outclassed the competition in the revival. Ceriel Klein Kromhof (Yamaha Van Beers) finished second, even though more than 90 seconds had already passed at the finish. Verbruggen was now third ahead of the consistent Triest. Joël Roelants was second until the penultimate lap, after which the Negaan-JM pilot disappeared from the race.

Qualifications MX2
Of course, the MX1 and MX2 qualifications were also held at De Kappenbulten this morning. Jeffrey Herlings impressed with a crushing time in the timed training; almost 3(!) full seconds faster than Glen Coldenhoff, Klein-Kromhof, Verbruggen and Alletru were also in the MX2 top five. Reigning champion Joël Roelants was only seventh, the difference with Herlings was more than 5,5 seconds.
