Presentation Negaan-JM Racing Team
If there is one business catchword that Jacky Martens has mastered perfectly, it is networking. The former world champion always had a certain charm and managed to distinguish himself with his 'down to earth' mentality. Always with both feet on the ground, a true champion of the people. This amiable character gives JM Racing no fewer than 45 sponsors in times of crisis who stand behind the team as one man.
Partly thanks to this asset, Martens is now where he is at the moment. In his own, very handsome and modern, recently built workshop next to the Lommel circuit, surrounded by champions (to-be) and very skilled people and close collaboration with the KTM R&D department. Martens not only has a particularly good eye for spotting talent. In addition, he is also good on a technical level and always knows how to bring out the best in others. This results in a team that everyone enjoys being part of. Riders, crew, but also the sponsors and fans.
Five-person team: Three Belgians and two French
Last weekend the new team for 2010 was presented to the press and sponsors. Together with main sponsor Negaan, JM Racing will focus on many different championships in the coming season. Joel Roelants, Dennis Verbruggen and Frenchman Alex Alletru will take their chances in the MX2 World Championship. Martens junior, Yentl, hopes for some wildcards in the MX1 world championship and will also compete with the best in some national championships. Frenchman Jordi Tixier will compete on his KTM in the European Championship 125cc two-stroke. Knowing that KTM still finds two-strokes particularly important, the team will give the best of themselves here too.
The Orange contribution to JM Racing!
JM Racing has always been very present in the ONK. That will be the case again this season with the Dutch Negaan as main sponsor. And noblesse oblige; Here JR will attempt to extend his title. Roelants makes no secret of his ambitions. The team will be more than satisfied with a top-5 finish and a few podium finishes. Roelants: “In the ONK MX2 I will resolutely go for the title, I won't settle for anything less! As far as I'm concerned, 'second First is loser'!” A mentality that team leader Martens certainly appreciates. Newcomer Dennis Verbruggen is a little more careful and, just like Alletru and Tixier, will be able to reap the benefits of guidance from a very professional team.
