Season start: MCLB for dummies
MCLB (Motorcross Enthusiasts Association) emerged from the merger of two federations, the West Flemish MCB and the East Flemish BLB. MCLB is mainly active in West and East Flanders, but the calendar also includes a number of competitions in Flemish Brabant and one in Zeeland (NL). The MCLB riders mainly come from the above-mentioned provinces, although the federation also has many Walloon (mainly from Hainaut) license holders.
During an MCLB competition day, 18 classes divided over motorcycles, quads and sidecars will compete. In practice, this means that some motorcycle classes ride together. The quad and sidecar classes are set up in such a way that both novice and experienced riders compete against each other. A normal competition day always ends with a Super Final in which both Inters and Nationals compete.
MCLB also works closely with youth federation VJMO. The VJMO drivers can usually start on Saturday at the circuit where the MCLB race takes place on Sunday.

Here you will find the full MCLB calendar, Jurgen Wybo gives the top 3 of his favorite matches:
1) Pamel: “Every year, Pamel is the setting for the final at the Inters in the MCLB championship. It is, in my opinion at least, the most beautiful track on the entire MCLB calendar. The surface is relatively hard, but you have sufficient grip. In that respect you can best compare it with Kester, which is only a few kilometers away. The layout of the circuit is quite technical with many height differences and also some jumping on natural obstacles. Highly recommended for fans because there is always a spectacle to experience in Pajottenland.”
2) Middelkerke: “Middelkerke is truly a classic in amateur motocross. Because the race is held close to the coast in the middle of the summer holidays, there is always a lot of public interest. Moreover, top players from other federations often come to Middelkerke. The club always tries to create a spectacular circuit with many jumps. You feel that they are working hard on it.”
3) Lichtervelde: “An organization of my own club, MC Avanti. In Lichtervelde too they always try to make the best of it. A good circuit is always being worked on. Moreover, the finals of the MCLB championship always start in Lichtervelde, which provides a little extra excitement.”
